Congratulations! You got the key to the happiest world. The paper world. Now you’ll have your new best friend in this crafting world.
Some recommendations to start:
- Open your box, don’t be scared, everything is secured and everything is in place so you won’t break anything. Your box brings the machine, a blade, and a mat.
- Connect everything as they show you in the instructions.
- Don’t try to look at YouTube videos of how to use the machine because you can be very confused and overwhelmed.
- Start with the project they assign to you to start to know your machine and how to put all the elements in place and make a cut correctly.
- Explore the projects section in the program and look for “Beginners” projects.
- Play around with Design space before you get your Cricut. The wait will be shorter and you’ll get a lot of information about the program and design because you will spend MOST of your time since the machine is really easy to navigate.
- You don’t need a lot of things to start crafting, I’m going to detail them in this post, and also, you can download my FREE eBook with all that information (the pop-up should appear soon).
You’ll need:
- The machine with the mat, the blade, and a scoring pen you can buy here.
- The basic tools are so important to work better, buy them here.
- Glues, I recommend the Beacon 3-1 and the Bearly Arts, read my article about it.
- Cardstock, some pieces to start working and then you are responsible for how much you’ll buy lol. Read my article about it, here.
- The Sizzix, the printer, and more are up to you if you feel you’ll need them.
- Knowledge, of how to use the program and techniques to make those things you’re dreaming. I’d kindly invite you to check out my online school, where we learn a lot about Cricut and paper decorations. Check it here
I hope you enjoy your new machine, and make a lot of new and beautiful projects with it.
