6 months ago my family and I decided to spend some time just traveling around the country in an RV and live this experience that we have dreamed of so much.
We transformed our business opened just two years ago to be able to continue working while traveling. And, literally, I’ve working from so many places since then.
Having the pleasure to work sometimes with excellent views and from inspirational places
This is my desk, what also is the dining table, and the classroom, unless I can work outside or in the my children’s bedroom
So, now, I’m entrepreneur, mom, wife, teacher, because we’re homeschooling the kids, travel planner, and more.
This is our rig, our home in wheels, where we live full-time and that take us all over US, it’s like a trailer hitched to our car and then, we can just leave it in the campgrounds and know the cities and some tiny places
We were collecting a lot of information and experiences from other people, it took us more than a year to make the decision and well the time came and we began our adventure.
We have been able to integrate the nomadic life with our entrepreneurship, with homeschooling living away from the routine, and having the possibility of always being in very beautiful and interesting places, visiting large or small cities, or enjoying nature and its beautiful landscapes.
From this experience I usually say that not everything is fun and pleasure, not everything is work, I can be working and in turn enjoying a beautiful landscape, or we can all be working (including children) preparing the material for a Workshop or looking for a material that is finished or also enjoying with friends on a beach or in a city. And things don’t get as we want (like the normal life). Sometimes, I don’t have good internet in the campgrounds and had to go to the closest park in a remote city (but with internet) and work from there. Isn’t funny? I know, I had to have a lot of patience hahaha
All this is being an exciting, challenging, and very enriching experience. Sometimes, I have to work on the road as well.
If you ask me what is the most difficult thing in this type of life, I would undoubtedly answer that it is difficult for me to have small spaces at home, being away from family, and having to organize time well to balance work, school and children. walks, somehow it’s like being on vacation all the time and that makes it very difficult to achieve that balance.
In this nomadic life it is wonderful to be able to work on the road and from anywhere. Also sunrise in different places is one of the coolest things and that I enjoy a lot, being able to open the door or window of the house and be in different places every few days. And the possibility of continuously experiencing freedom of time is priceless, since we do not have to arrive anywhere at any time, we do not have to stop early to take the children to school, we can stop in the morning and indulge the children in go to bed for a while, talk and share with them.
Being nomadic entrepreneurs has always caught our attention and today I experience that feeling of freedom and satisfaction in being able to be doing something that inspires me and allows me to fulfill my dreams.
